Wee are looking for a new Early Learning Coach for Wee Care Day Care.
The Early Learning Coach assists in managing the education development of the early learning program for classroom curriculum and staff professional development. Under the direction of the Executive Director and Center Directors, the Early Learning Coach collaborates with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are properly delivered, that classroom environments are developmentally appropriate, and that the needs of the children and the goals of the center are met appropriately to improve program quality.
This position supports the staff and classrooms at six locations in Kelso, Longview, and Vancouver. This position requires reliable transportation and ability to travel to different facilities each day.
In an Early Learning Coach, we look for:
- Education in Early Childhood Education
- Experience as a teacher of children in any age group
- Experience in a leadership or coaching position
- Successful experience in developing relationships with children, families, employees and community partners
- Knowledge and experience in state licensing standards
- Knowledge and experience in the Early Achievers program
- Knowledge and experience using Creative Curriculum
Some of the essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Supports teachers to follow the curriculum philosophy, communicates the philosophy to all staff, and observes staff interactions and curriculum to ensure the philosophy serves all children in the early learning program
- Provides on-the-job classroom support, mentoring, and training for the classroom staff
- Models and supports teachers to use a variety of teaching strategies through teacher-child interactions
- Models and supports teachers to build and maintain positive relationships with children
- Models and supports teachers to establish and maintain an organized, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environment using standards and strategies outlined in the Environment Rating Scale
- Models and supports teachers to establish and follow the planned daily classroom schedule of activities and routines that is familiar to the children and meets the children’s developmental, cultural, and special needs
- Uses Creative Curriculum Coaching to Fidelity to guide teachers to the best implementation of the curriculum
- Models and supports teachers to implement Conscious Discipline techniques
- Supports teachers to complete Coaching Companion requirements such as recording interactions, editing videos, uploading videos to Coaching Companion, and providing feedback for best video clips to submit upon each Early Achievers recognition cycle

Pay: $67,750.00 per year
