Child Care Center Assistant Director

We are looking for a new Child Care Assistant Director at Wee Care Day Care.

In a Child Care Assistant Director, we look for:

• Education in Early Childhood Education - Associates preferred
• Management experience in childcare with the ability to multitask, problem solve, and develop and lead a successful team and center
• Successful experience in developing relationships with children, families, employees and community partners
• Knowledge and experience in state licensing standards
• Knowledge and experience in the Early Achievers program

Some of the essential functions and responsibilities include assisting the Center Director to:

• Oversee all operations within the child care center
• Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements
• Oversee the implementation of the CACFP food program
• Maintain accurate family and employee required paperwork and database management
• Communicate with necessary agencies such as licensing and Early Achievers
• Orientate new staff and provide tours for new families
• Monitor implementation of curriculum in the classroom (Creative Curriculum)
• Monitor classroom practices, room arrangement, lesson plans, daily schedules, routines and transitions and provide support as needed
• Identify and prioritize materials needed in the center
• Develop and implement procedures to improve child outcomes, parent involvement, and staff professional development
• Establish positive relationships with families and provide community resources for families in need of resources
• Ensure that files and documentation are complete, accurate, and confidentially maintained

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Salary: $23.00-27.25 per hour
